My July Favorites
While I may not be doing as much in-store shopping these days, my online shopping habits have never been worse. But I know I’m not alone! Check out what trends I’m loving this stay-at-home summer. As always, you can shop the items by clicking on the pictures - you’re welcome.
I had to include a cropped cardigan in here because they are making such a statement right now. I got this exact one back in December knowing I’d be wearing it all spring and summer long. This gorgeous mint color is the perfect pop of color. Layer over a simple white tank, add gold jewelry, a black midi skirt, and sneakers for a cool soft girl look.
Ah, yes, the corset top. This trend is coming in hot with so many different silhouettes from tees to tubes to tanks. This simple one is so much more versatile than you might think. For an off-duty model look, pair with straight leg or mom jeans, mules, and layered necklaces. For a night out, try wearing with black skinnies, an oversized leather jacket, and combat boots.
A headscarf can take an outfit so many different directions. Wear as shown for a more cottagecore vibe. Or wear it my favorite way by covering the crown of your head and tying in the back. I finish off the look with a simple tank, jeans, and AF1’s.
Another trend that’s big right now is pastels. And I know what you’re think – pastels for spring/summer, groundbreaking – but who can resist all of creamy colors? This ruched tank is so feminine and versatile. Throw this on with your favorite pair of jeans, sandals, and a baguette, or layer under a matching shorts suit and add a low bun and sneakers.
I have a love-hate relationship with these split hem jeans: I’m thankful for the break from skinnies, but I struggle to find a pair that are short enough for my legs. Until I found out that Pretty Little Thing let’s you shop by body type! And while they may not offer all of their denim styles in petite and curve, they do have a great selection so everyone can take part in the trends.
Last but not least is the muscle tank. These are the basic tee’s cousin who says she’s just visiting for the summer, but will probably end up staying through the fall. And just like the basic tee, these muscle tanks go with everything. For an edgy-feminine look, pair with a flowy floral printed mini skirt and chunky sandals.
I have loved midi skirts since they made their comeback last spring. It’s been such a treat seeing all of the different patterns and textures and that’s exactly why I love this one. Something about white knits always scream summer to me – whether it’s an oversized sweater or this cozy midi. Try pairing this with a one shoulder tank, mules, and a denim jacket.
Gold hoops are timeless and these are such a unique pair. I have been swapping out my traditional chunky hoop huggies for these bad boys to add just a little bit of spice. These seriously go with everything and make your loungewear feel a little more put together.
These a-line mom shorts are making such a statement these year and while I’m still trying to find my perfect pair, I wanted to share these for some inspiration. With more coverage, you can add a more fitted top and not feel like you’re showing too much. I’d pair these with a corset style tank, sneakers, and a cropped cardigan tied around my shoulders.
